About the wing

  • It was established in 2003 to qualify officers of JAf and other Jordanian security Services in Spanish Language to be able to attended special military courses held in Spain.
  • The Basic Spanish Language Course is held at the wing once every year.

The Curriculum

  • The Spanish curriculum is very advanced, and it’s almost similar to the one used in the Spain.
  • CDs, VCRs, and other audio-visual material are used as training aids. 
  • Military terminology Pamphlet.

The qualifying courses for instructors

  • Jordanian instructors receive their basic training in Spanish at the Military Language Institute.
  • Instructors also attend Language qualifying courses in Spain.

Participants and teaching Methodology  

  • Officers of Jordan Armed Forces and Security Services.
  • Participants receive all the required proficiency training in the language four basic skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Tests and assessments

  • There is close cooperation between the Military Language Institute and the following:
  •  The Spanish Military attaché office.
  • The Spanish Cultural Center.
  • The Instructor exchange program.
  • Instructors also attend other language qualifying course at the Spanish Cultural Center
    ( Cerbantes)
  • Students’ achievement is evaluated through International testing system used by the Spanish language centers.
  • Language comprehension level of the participants is measured through listening and reading tests, pop quizzes and oral proficiency interviews.
