About the wing

  • It was established in 2001 to qualify officers of JAf and other Jordanian security Services in Italian Language.
  • The Basic Italian Language Course is held once every year at the wing.

The Curriculum

  • The Italian curriculum is very advanced, and it’s almost similar to the one used in Italy.
  • CDs, VCRs, and other audio-visual material are used as training aids.

The qualifying courses for instructors

  • Jordanian instructors receive their basic training in Italian at the Military Language Institute.
  • Instructors also attend Basic Italian Language courses in Italy.
  • Instructors also attend other language qualifying courses at the Italian cultural Center

Participants and teaching Methodology  

  • Officers of Jordan Armed Forces and Security Services.
  •  Participants receive all the required proficiency training in the language four basic skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Cooperation with the Italian side

  • There is a close cooperation between the Military Language Institute and Italy.
  • Instructors also attend language qualifying programs and courses held in Italy. 

Tests and assessments

  • Language comprehension level of the participants is measured through listening and reading tests, pop quizzes and oral proficiency interviews.
  • Tests and assessments at the wing are similar to the (PLIDA), the Italian testing system used in Italy.
