About the wing

  • It was established in 1998 to qualify officers of JAf and other Jordanian security Services in German Language.
  • The Basic German Language Course is held twice every year.

The qualifying courses for instructors

  • Jordanian instructors receive their basic training in German at the Military Language Institute.
  • Instructors also attend Basic and Advanced German Language courses in Germany and Austria.
  • Instructors also attend other language qualifying course at the German cultural Center         ( Goethe)

Participants and teaching Methodology  

  • Officers of Jordan Armed Forces and Security Services.
  •  Participants receive all the required proficiency training in the language four basic skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Cooperation with the German side

  • There is close cooperation between the Military Language Institute and the two native countries of German, Germany and Austria.
  • Instructors also attend language qualifying programs such as courses and seminars organized annually by those countries. 

Tests and assessments

  • Language comprehension level of the participants is measured through listening and reading tests, pop quizzes and oral proficiency interviews.
