About the wing

  • It was established in 1982 to qualify officers of JAf and other Jordanian security Services in French Language.
  • The Basic French Language Course is held at the wing twice every year.
  •  An advanced French Language Course. Intensive courses for international military observers are also held at the wing.

The Curriculum

  • The French curriculum is very advanced, and it’s almost similar to the one used in the native country, France.
  • CDs and VCRs are used for the listing skill
  • Military terminology Pamphlet.

The qualifying courses for instructors

  • Jordanian instructors receive their basic training in French at the Military Language Institute.
  • Instructors also attend Basic Advanced French Language courses in France.

Participants and teaching Methodology  

  • Officers of Jordan Armed Forces and Security Services.
  •  Participants receive all the required proficiency training in the language four basic skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Cooperation with the French side

  • There is close cooperation between the Military Language Institute and the following
  • The French Military attaché office.
  • The French Cultural Center.

Tests and assessments

  • Various types of tests are administered during the course to measure the students’ achievement of the basic language skills.
  •  NATO recognized standard tests such as STANAG, TCF, TEF, and DELF are also run by the wing.
